100 pages into Brandon Sanderson's Warbreaker, color me very impressed. An extremely imaginative magic system and some great world building has this one already shaping up to be one of this year's fantasy highlights. And the humor is great throughout, which is a pleasant surprise.
This is my introduction to Sanderson's work, and I'm cursing myself for not having taken the plunge earlier.
Live and learn.

Yay! I heard great things about this. I'm definitely going to check out more of Sanderson's writing as well.
Trust me if you like Warbreaker you are going to love the Mistborn series.
I'm having some Love/Hate issue with Sanderson. Loved Elantris. Just finished book two of Mistborn and well... I think I'll read something else.
I'd love to hear your final impressions of this one as he is without doubt a writer to keep an eye on.
After determining that I should find out more about Brandon Sanderson's work I tracked down his short sci-fi story, 'Firstborn' (available for free on Tor's website) to see what I was in for and it blew me away. A great short story with a military angle and a bunch of surprises. I picked up 'Elantris' a few weeks ago and I'll be diving into that one after I complete Erikson's Gardens of the Moon. Warbreaker should follow shortly thereafter...and I can't wait.
Glad to hear that within the first 100-pages that you're really enjoying it.
Not long ago I read the Mistborn trilogy - my top read in 2009 so far.
Elantris is on my shelf and I definitely know that I want to read Warbreaker.
I'm starting to read now straight fantasy (i've read some with romance) and want to try more. This does sound like one I'd like. Looking forward to your review.
